𝕎𝕚𝕟𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕤 𝟡𝟝 ~𝓒𝓪𝓵𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰~ Icon Pack

This is a vaporwave parody on the original Windows 95 icons, I do not own the original icons/don't have permission to alter them. Because of this, these icons are free -- there's a range of some icons I've changed minimally, some I've substantially cleaned up compared to the originals, and some I've designed myself using modern app icons in some combination of the win95/98 icon elements/style (firefox, github, vlc, stardew). No copyright infringement intended, I recommend using it for personal use only (I'm not sure if twitch streams count but I don't think Microsoft would come after you for them).

Leave a comment if you have any issues or need a specific file type! (Although, you can use the 32x32 size pack to create any specific size/file type -- use nearest neighbor for resizing)

There are 64 icons in this pack, all 32x32 pixels originally and with a palette of 16 colors. This is an alternate (less eye burning) palette to the original releases [1] [2] - I plan to release more in the future!

How to use:

I'm sure you can use these icons on many platforms by google-ing "how to change icons for ______" and just using the png files but I also have some specific info to share!

Windows 10:

Unfortunately Windows 10 has icon sizes of 16 > 48 > 96 so scaling becomes an issue at any size smaller than the "large" icons, and the icons will look funky. For best results I recommend changing your desktop icons to "large" and using the specific Windows icon pack (.ico files). But feel free to experiment! There are a few system icons you can change in settings > personalization > themes > desktop icon settings but most icons will have to be changed manually by right clicking on the application > properties > customize > change icon.

Andriod:

On my phone I use Nova launcher to change icons by long pressing on the icon > pencil icon > tap on icon itself > gallery > choose image.

Phones:

Besides the zip folders, I've individually uploaded each icon in case you don't have a zip file extractor on your phone (these are the individual pngs listed below). You can generally use high res icons on phones, so the individual pngs I've uploaded are the 1024x1024 ones.
